Laser Hair Removal Process
All areas of the body you are going to treat with laser must be shaved down to the skin prior to treatment. WHY SHAVE? Thick overlying hair absorbs the energy of the laser. The laser needs to target the bulb/root of hair and not the surface hair. Therefore shaving must be carried out the night before or the day of treatment.
Concerned about discomfort during your treatment?
Application of local anesthetic cream may be used prior to treatment. This should be applied to clean shaven skin 1.5 hours before the treatment. Spread the cream like “butter” onto your skin and then cover with cling wrap, this prevents the cream from rubbing off on your clothing and allows for maximum absorption into the skin.
Tanning, self tanner or bed tanning must be avoided in the treatment area during the course of the laser treatments. Please advise the technician if you have had sun exposure or plan to be in the sun. Use a broad spectrum sun block SPF 30 or greater, when the treatment area is exposed to the sun.

After treatment care:
Post laser hair removal, cold compresses may be used, and unscented gel or lotion can be applied to soothe the treatment area. Normal skin care routines may be resumed the next day if no irritation is present. Avoid hot baths, showers, exercise and heavy clothing on the treatment area until all irritation or redness has resolved.
